CONCORDIA is an independent, non-governmental organization with a mission to support the social, family, school and professional (re)integration of disadvantaged children, youngsters and families, towards a more independent and autonomous life.
Our projects are implemented in Bucharest, Ploiești and Ariceștii Rahtivani, and more than 450 children and youth benefit from our projects every year.
Our Main Projects in Bucharest:
The Social Centre SAINT LAZARUS is a night shelter with 65 places for homeless persons between 20 and 36 years old.
Occupation protected workshops offer services for 12 persons, homeless youth and/or with disabilities, without any experience or abilities in finding or adapting to a job.
Social apartments in Bucharest offer accommodation of 50 places for young vulnerable people that have a stable job and are preparing for independent life.
Casa CONCORDIA offers job coaching programs, professional training and job matching services, for 90 young people between 18 and 35 years old from Bucharest and Ilfov County. Protected housing for adults with disabilities, Casa HANNES, offers services for 6 persons with mental disabilities and associated illnesses.
Our Main Projects in Prahova County:
Two Day Care Centers “Together after school!”
Casa CRISTINA, offers after-school services for 36 children from Mimiu neighborhood situated in one of the slums of Ploiesti. Casa ALEXANDRA, service center for children and families, offers a warm daily meal, educational after-school programs for 36 children in Ploiesti, and support in finding a job for family members, health information and psychological counselling.
Over 200 children and youth live in our houses in Ploiești and Ariceștii Rahtivani: CONCORDIA Children’s City, Casa EVA, Casa AUSTRIA and The FARM FOR CHILDREN. We offer shelter, daily meals, personal care materials, social and medical assistance and educational support.
CONCORDIA Professional Training and Education Center (CONCORDIA Vocational School) offers inclusive training opportunities for 40 young people, ensuring access for socially disadvantaged youth to quality education and training. Through our Job Coaching program we provide support to help them find a job.
