Since 1991, we have been developing social assistance and protection programs for several categories of children in distress, especially in Bucharest and Arges, Calarasi and Ilfov counties, promoting the partnership and the social responsibility at the level of local communities.
Since 2015, was accredited by the Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Protection as a social service provider for children. Children in Distress Foundation provides specialized services within its own social centers, through multidisciplinary teams of specialists: social workers, psychologists, educator, doctors, nurses and physiotherapists.

The mission of Children in Distress Foundation is to give a second chance to disadvantaged children. CID Foundation provides safety, care, hope and affection for children affected by incurable or terminally illness, for children with a high risk of dropping out school or children from families in difficulty within specialized centers in Bucharest, Curtea de Arges. The Foundation promotes the principle of equal opportunities and social inclusion of these categories of children; it carries out training activities for specialists in the recovery of children with disabilities.
The services provided are adapted to the needs of the community and comply with the quality standards provided by the legislation in the field.
