ASOCIATIA HUMANIMALS

Humanimals is an integrated and sustainable project with a long-term vision, aiming to purchase land and develop a complex dedicated to the protection and welfare of animals. This includes building a sanctuary for cats and creating our own pet food production unit.

The sports component is a strategic pillar of the project. Our active participation in marathons and half-marathons becomes an integral part of a structured and measurable campaign.

“Humanimals – Every kilometre run saves lives.”

Through this initiative, every kilometre run is turned into tangible support for the animals in our care.

The project is built on three main pillars, designed to ensure financial autonomy, community impact, and scalable development:

The Food Factory – Financial and Operational Sustainability

The factory is the key element for the project’s independence. It will be located at the edge of the complex and will operate in accordance with HACCP standards, with a fully defined technological flow: raw material supply, processing, packaging, and climate-controlled storage.

The following will be produced:

  • dry and wet food for dogs and cats;
  • recipes tailored to different nutritional needs;
  • treats and supplements.

Part of the production will be used internally, while any surplus may be sold locally or donated to other shelters.

The concept integrates principles of the circular economy, reduction of food waste, and the use of renewable energy (solar panels), helping to reduce the carbon footprint and optimise operational costs.

The Shelter – The Core of the Humanimals Project

  • separate spaces for dogs and cats;
  • quarantine and special care areas;
  • outdoor yards for exercise and socialisation;
    • a room dedicated to interaction with volunteers and potential adopters.

    The Shelter – The Core of the Humanimals Project

    Each animal will benefit from medical and behavioural assessment, daily care, and a socialisation programme, significantly increasing adoption chances.

    The entire facility is designed to be modern, energy-efficient, and in full compliance with veterinary health standards.

    Cemetery and Crematorium – A Legal, Ethical, and Emotional Service for the Community

    The complex will include a dedicated area for environmentally compliant cremation and a memorial garden.

    This service offers the community a legal, dignified, and responsible alternative for dealing with the loss of pets, strengthening the emotional bond between the project and animal lovers.

    Phase 1 – Laying the Foundation: Land Acquisition and Development of the First Operational Unit

    Phase 1 – Laying the Foundation: Land Acquisition and Development of the First Operational Unit

    This phase involves purchasing the first plot of 10,000 sqm, which will be the foundation for the development of the entire complex. The first operational stage to be developed on this land is the cat sanctuary.

    The sanctuary will occupy approximately 3,000 sqm of the total area and will have a maximum capacity of up to 300 places. Implementation will be carried out in stages to ensure financial and operational balance.

    The sanctuary provides a permanent solution for chronic cases or those without realistic adoption prospects. At the same time, animals that can be rehabilitated will be treated, stabilised, and swiftly integrated into responsible adoption programmes, thus maintaining a balanced and sustainable operational flow.

    The amount required for Phase 1 is approximately €85,000.

    This investment covers:

    • land acquisition;
    • initiation of preliminary design stages;
    • commencing construction of the sanctuary’s first unit;
    • preparing infrastructure for future expansions of the complex.

With the sum of €85,000, we ensure the purchase of the land and the development of the sanctuary’s first operational phase. Full expansion of capacity and full development of the complex will require further funding stages.

Completion of this stage marks the concrete beginning of Humanimals’ implementation, turning the vision into a real, functional, and sustainable structure.
